‘Keeping Up With The Kardashians’ On Hold ‘Indefinitely’

After 10 years on TV, the Kardashian family is attempting to leave the spotlight and shutting down their reality series.

After the attack on Kim Kardashian in Paris last week, US Weekly confirms the show is “on hold indefinitely.”

Kim and Kanye have put several events on hold in the last week following the attack including two Kanye shows, a Mario Dedivanovic master class, and filming for KUWTK. Apparently, the E! crew has not filmed anything since the robbery in Paris where Kardashian was gagged, tied up, and robbed of millions in jewelry.

Marie Claire magazine reports, Kim has been blaming herself for the attack and wants to start keeping a low profile and reevaluating her use of social media.

“‘Kim’s in shock and blaming herself,” a source tells People. “She’s tearing herself up that she Snapchatted the ring so much and wore it all the time. This incident is making her question everything. How she dresses, what she does.'”

E! News has not officially canceled the show but released the following statement:

“Kim’s well-being is our core focus right now. No decision has been made as to when production will resume,” an E! spokesperson told JustJared.com.

It’s time for this family to take a break. This is a sad and traumatic way to step away from the spotlight, but honestly, I’m just glad she is safe. This family has all of their business on social media and have never been shy about sharing how much they own. However, this time, all of the overshare may have put them in danger.

That in no way means a person shouldn’t be able to share what they’ve earned and are proud of without worrying some sick person is going to come after them, but the reality is we live in a time where people are sharing way too much about their exact locations and unfortunately there are  people who will take advantage of you and not think twice about the harm that can be caused.

Celebrities, in general, are expected to entertain us and always share everything they have going on, but they are still human and it gets to be too much. Justin Bieber had to shut down his Instagram and stop taking pictures with fans who were treating him like a zoo animal, Demi Lovato has decided to step away from the industry in 2017, and now Chrissy Teigen has even made her Twitter account private as a result of “absorbing bad s–t 24/7.”

We need to go back to being careful about the information we share publicly.
