How the EMERGENCY water main repair will effect Houston residents

If you’re experiencing low water pressure or outage right now, there is justified cause. The City of Houston is working on an EMERGENCY water main repair and the process could take  a few hours.

According to KPRC: Contractors with the city of Houston Public Works and Engineering Department will perform an emergency repair of an 8-foot water transmission line leak in the 8800 block of Clinton Drive.

Residents in affected areas might notice low water pressure until the repair is completed, the city said.

Affected areas include the immediate area around the repair, as well as areas east and west of I-610, south of Old Spanish Trail and north of I-10.

The city said it is working to restore service as quickly as possible.

Residents can call 311 to report water outages.
