Johnny Depp’s Tupac/Biggie Film Picked Up By Open Road

Open Road films has acquired all the North American rights to Labyrinth, an investigative thriller about the murders of rappers Tupac Shakur and Christopher “Notorious B.I.G.” Wallace that will star Johnny Depp.  According to Entertainment Weekly, the film will be helmed by director Brad Furman and will begin production in November.  Labyrinth is based on the Ronald Sullivan book LAbyrinth: A Detective Investigates The Murders Of Tupac Shakur and Notorious B.I.G., the Implication of Death Row Records’ Suge Knight, and the Origins of the Los Angeles Police Scandal.
