Smugglers Arrested in Texas for keeping 52 immigrants hostage

One of the 1st golden rules we learn as kids is, “Don’t trust strangers!” Stranger danger! Well…what do you do when you’re seeking refuge in an unfamiliar country. Unfortunately, things don’t always go as planned.

According to KPRC Local 2, 5 suspects were taken into custody this morning for holding several immigrants captive. They are now being held at the RGV Sector Prosecutions Office awaiting the charges. The 52 immigrants come from El Salvador, Mexico, Guatemala, Honduras and Nicaragua. Those immigrants have since been removed from the crammed house they were stashed in and taken to the Weslaco Border Patrol Station and processed.
