I’m not normally one of those people who think they look like a celebrity. However, as I was getting my costume finalized for “In The Heights” tomorrow night at Theatre Under The Stars…I became…KATY PERRRY
Here’s my photo.
I didn’t even see the resemblance until I called Ivan and he was like HOLY SMOKES you look like Katy Perry.
So let me tell you how this was an eye opening experience for me.
- I am a firm believer that my style, whatever style you wanna call it is me.
- However, it should be whatever makes you comfortable. Am I someone who wears make up, or a lot of make, NO but the people who do, that’s what they love and it is no one’s place to tell them that is wrong, just like it is no one’s place to tell me that the way I dress means I don’t care about my appearance.
My mom taught me from a young age to never judge a book by it’s cover. Am I still the same person under that hair and make up, absolutely. Do I have an all new respect for the ladies in the office 100 everyday? ABSOLUTELY!
However, I feel just as beautiful done up or in jeans and chuck t’s and, in my opinion, that is the sexiest quality someone can have. That confidence. It can be easy to lose track of that and it took me being Katy Perry to remind me that the judgement runs both ways. Women aren’t hiding behind make-up or baggy jeans. They are just being them.🙂
