[Watch] *DIY* Covering up nasty Apartment carpet

Soon I’ll be moving into a new apartment and since I’m the queen of do it yourself decor, I’ve been researching thrifty ways of spicing up my rental. I’m always on a budget so I like to be affordable while still keeping things cute.

One of my biggest pet peeves about a new apartment is the carpet. Since you’re renting, there’s only so many requests you can make; however, what color you want your carpet to be usually isn’t an option. Yes, area rugs are cool, but what about taking things up a notch with hard wood floors? Usually if the complex upgrades the flooring before you’re move in, it reflects in them sky rocketing your rent! That’s a HEEEELLLLL NAWWWLL for me, so I had to find another way!

Thanks to the world wide web, I successfully found a solution. It does involve a little bit of carpentry, but it’s nothing too difficult if you like do it yourself home projects.┬áKeep in mind, every situation has it’s risks, so BE CAUTIOUS in anything you do AT HOME.

Everyone isn’t at a point to buy a home. so it’s nice to be able to do little things to make your rental suitable to your standards and personality. Hopefully this suggestion brings you some versatility!
