Design students at Harvard received an encouraging talk from none other than Kanye West late last week!
West talked to students at Harvard’s Graduate School of Design and shared support and information about creation and imagination! West first offered the design students tickets to his “Yeezus” tour: “After walking through here, I just wanted to make sure that anyone who did not have tickets to tonight’s show that you had tickets,” West told the students.
He then provided his outlook on the world as well as encouragement to students:” I just wanted to tell you guys that I really do believe that the world can be saved with design… and everything needs to be “architected,” West added. (Yes, he used the world “architected”…)
He then added: “The reason why I turn up so much in interviews because I’ve tasted what it means to create and be able to impact and affect in a positive way…”
He further told students that he appreciates the fact that they are “honing their craft”.
There’s no word yet on if West will provide more lectures to students at Harvard or any other Ivy League schools; West will continue his “Yeezus” tour, with dates “architected” throughout the country.
