She may be “Jenny From the Block” but she’s walking that block amongst the stars! Singer, actress and dancer Jennifer Lopez received the the 2,500th star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in Los Angeles late last week.
Lopez was on hand with her boyfriend, Casper Smart, her 5-year-old twins Max and Emme, and friends including Jane Fonda, Keenen Ivory Wayans and Gregory Nava who directed Lopez in Selena.
“I cried like almost 15 thousand times,” Lopez said after the ceremony. “You realize you’ve been at this for a long time and you’ve been fighting and getting it,” she said. “It’s a real kind of landmark day for me and I am just glad my family was here to share it with me.”
Lopez is not only known for staring as the title character in what many call her breakout movie role Selena, but Lopez has gone on to be one of the most successful singers, dancers and entertainers in recent years.
She got her start in show business as a “fly dancer/girl” on the sketch comedy “In Living Color” and has broke into music in 1999 with her debut studio album, “On the 6”.
