After an eight-year hiatus, the Big Tymers are returning to music. Birdman recently confirmed the return of the collaborative Cash Money Records’ act, with two new additions–Lil WayneDrake– set to replace Mannie Fresh

According to Wayne, the Big Tymers return started as an idea he was kicking around until Birdman moved in to make it a reality.

“You can’t even tell him [Birdman] an idea,” said Wayne, in an interview with MTV’s RapFix. “I just told him that we were thinking about it, and he just hit me and said we’re looking for some music today.”

The Big Tymers’ founding members consisted of Birdman and Cash Money’s in-house producer Mannir Fresh, who left the label in 2005 citing a financial dispute.
