According to eHarmony these are the five red flags to look for on a first date. Some of these you have probably heard of or thought of before but if you have a big date this weekend take the five minutes to read them over.

#1.)  They’re Pessimistic.

Look for the word “the worst” when they are describing things. If they do it a lot odds are they will someday use it to refer to you.  But if  you LIKE complaining. Enjoy.

#2.)  Every Time You Tell a Story, They Try to Top It.

True sign they are competitive. This could be a good sing or a bad sign .

If they seem overly competitive could mean they are insecure.

#3.)  They Mention Their Ex More Than Once.

Once is NOT a big deal especially if it is brought up during conversation. However, if they bring them up more than once, odds are they aren’t over them.

#4.)  They Check Their Phone More Than Twice During Dinner.

This means they are either nervous or NOT interested in what you are saying. If either is the case they both show you are NOT hitting it off.

#5.)  They Drink Too Much.

This could just be a sign of nervousness. Could mean they are bored. Could mean they have a problem. We are usually on our best behavior on a first date and if these negatives come out, could mean big trouble in the long term.
