Bobby Brown Sentened In DUI Case

Regardless of it is his prerogative to go to jail, New Edition band member and R&B solo sensation Bobby Brown has been sentenced in his DUI case.

This week, Brown was sentenced to 55 days in jail and four years of informal probation after pleading no contest to a DUI charge; the charge was one of two Brown had last year.

Brown who also pleaded no contest to driving with a suspended license, will also be required to complete an 18-month alcohol-treatment program. He has also been mandated to attend several Alcoholics Anonymous meetings a week.

According to reports, Brown had been sentenced to a day in jail as well as three years of probation for the March 26 arrest,. He had been pulled over by police in the Valley for talking on his cellphone while driving. Brown’ second arrest happened on October 24, again in the Valley. He was out on $25,000 bail later that morning. The recent arrests of Brown on DUI related charges are not new for the singer. He was convicted of DUI in 1996. Brown must check into jail by March 20.
