Here in this Texas town, it’s all about the RodeoHouston! There is great fun to be had and the entire family can partake of all that this legendary and splendid event has to offer! Here are a few ways to cut costs as you plan your RodeoHouston time!

1. Plan ahead. Take time with your family to plan when you will attend the Rodeo. What day is good for you and the family? Take the time to make a great date and enjoy the fun! This year’s Rodeo ends on March 17th so you have lots of time and opportunity to have big fun!

2. Value Wednesdays! Did you know that RodeoHouston offers “Value Day Wednesdays”? It’s true! Value Day Wednesdays include $10 upper level Rodeo tickets with wonderful values throughout Reliant Park each Wednesday of the Show! 3. Food, Food and more Food! Chances are, you have delicious fried foods on your mind. When it comes to the RodeoHouston, just about everything is fried! But you can save money and not spend fortune on those fried foods. Last year, my friends and I enjoyed great foods from the Rodeo but we also split the costs of our foods. Take for example, those delicious turkey legs! Those things are huge! So in an effort to save money, we simply purchased two among our group and that meant that two friends could enjoy one turkey leg! We also saved on popcorn and other treats by splitting the costs of foods. So consider splitting the costs of your foods as you enjoy “larger than life” portions! The vendors there are so nice, you may even be able to find a great “meal deal” or two as you walk around!

4. Transportation. Transportation to RodeoHouston can be a money-saver too! One year, my friends and I went on a Wednesday and we enjoyed free parking at Reed Road at Highway 288. Once we parked, we took a shuttle to Reliant. It was a free service that was available until 3pm. Be sure to check around for deals on shuttles and make sure to ride in groups to add to the savings!
