Snoop Dogg’s Documentary Set To Hit Theaters In March [VIDEO]
Snoop Dogg … I mean Snoop Lion’s new documentary showing his transformation from hip-hop to reggae is set to hit select theaters on March 15.
The film which was directed by Andy Capper will show a more reflective, focused Snoop talking about his long career as well as how he transformed himself as a “gang banger” from Long Beach, California to one of the most celebrated (and perhaps controversial?) music artists. In an effort to embrace his new reggae-found freedoms, Snoop Dogg is no longer Snoop Dogg… but Snoop Lion… (at the time of this report, it was not clear why “Snoop” chose “Lion”…)
The new documentary appropriately titled Reincarnated premiered last September at the Toronto Film Festival, and is slated to open in theaters in New York City, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Miami, Chicago and Atlanta in March.
Snoop Dogg (man… sorry about that… Snoop Lion…) revealed his new reggae project last summer with the release of the single (or is it a hit?) “La La La”; an album, bearing the same name as his documentary is set to be released some time in the spring.
