Singer Britney Spears may not be a judge on Simon Cowell’s “The X Factor” anymore, but that does not mean the pop princess isn’t staying busy.
Just before the new year, Spears confirmed that she is working on new music for her forthcoming album and has summoned the musical magic of many to help bring to pass a stellar project.
Spears who was recently separated from her judge post on “The X Factor”, is reportedly “working hard” on new music and collaborating with some of music’s heavy hitting producers. Additional reports reveal that Spears has teamed up with GRAMMY-nominated songwriter Elijah Blake. Blake is known for his work with R&B sensation and newly crowned “The Voice” judge Usher as well as Rihanna.
The new Spears album which is rumored to be one that will take another direction from previous projects, is said to showcase her in a more different and edgier light.
Her last album, “Femme Fatale,” was released in March 2011 and debuted at # 1 on the Billboard 200 chart. The project spawned hits with the songs “Hold It Against Me” and “Til the World Ends.”
Her most recent musical efforts paired her with will.i.am on his new single, “Scream & Shout.
