Backstreet Boys Mark Halfway Point With New Independent Album
When it comes to new music for the Backstreet Boys, the group is “halfway there” in providing new sounds and flavor for fans.
According to members of the iconic boy band, their new album is at the halfway mark as the group prepares to celebrate its 20th anniversary. Members of the group recorded about 15 songs in London earlier in 2012 with producer Martin Terefe at the helm. The group is currently back in the states recording additional music with a host of other producers.
The album which will feature songs that are written by members of the group, will mark their seventh release in the U.S. after leaving now defunct Jive records. As newly independent artists, the album promises to bring a signature and more mature sound.
Not only is the group celebrating this yet to be titled album as well as being independent artists, but they are also celebrating the return of Kevin Richardson. He reunited with band members Nick Carter, Howie Dorough, Brian Littrell and A.J. McLean back in August of 2012 for a performance on a morning show.
The Backstreet Boys formed in Orlando, Florida in 1993 and rose to fame with their debut international album, “Backstreet Boys” back in 1996.
