Even in her death, Whitney Houston has managed to create a song of hope and inspiration that adds to her legacy of one of the most gifted and talented singers of our time.
“Never Give Up,” a previously unreleased track, offers an inspirational, empowering, soulful message as well as advice on combating adversity. The song comes from the upcoming greatest hits album, “I Will Always Love You — The Best Of Whitney Houston.
The video for the song seems to be simple and elegant as the song’s lyrics are displayed over what seems to be a silk garment.
Houston died earlier this year in California. The award-winning singer was found unresponsive in a Los Angeles hotel on February 11.
An outpouring of admiration and tributes came in the weeks that followed her passing, including a star-studded funeral which included speeches and performances from singers such as Alicia Keys, Stevie Wonder, Houston’s The Bodyguard co-star Kevin Costner and R& B singer R. Kelly, only to name a few.
RCA Records put the unreleased material online Tuesday. The compilation is scheduled to be in stores on Nov. 13.
