A feud between Lady Gaga and DJ Calvin Harris, who has worked with artists such as Rihanna, Ne-Yo and Florence Welch, broke out via Twitter recently after an interview Calvin had with BBC Breakfast.

He told the host that he declined the opportunity to work with Mother Monster on her music back in 2008, claiming that at the time he was just too busy with other projects. But it somehow came out that he wasn’t too impressed by her.

Although the Twitter battle was over in the matter of a few hours, it caused a lot of buzz among fans. So Calvin sat down with 92.3 NOW/New York to clear the air.

“It all came from this thing four years ago…It was a remix request that her label sent me. I wasn’t in the studio at the time, so I said I couldn’t do it,” said Harris.

“And then it came back last week,” continued Harris. “[It was reported] that I said ‘no’ to a collaboration request, which wasn’t the case.”

Clearly offended by what was reported, Gaga tweeted:

According to Gaga, she never even contacted the Scottish DJ to work on a collaboration.

But Harris quickly explained the situation and apologized for the misunderstanding. Glad that the issue was resolved, Gaga also apologized and congratulated Harris on his new album.

Glad that’s all cleared up. Twitter to the rescue.
