Come Saturday, there will be a new YouTube channel and iconic hip-hop artist Jay-Z will be behind it.
Reports indicate that Jay-Z is scheduled to launch his new YouTube channel Saturday night and will feature a live stream of the last concert of his eight-show run at Barclays Center in Brooklyn.
The name of the channel will be called the “Life + Times” channel, and will coincide with his pop-culture site that bears the same name. The brand new channel by the mogul comes upon the heels of YouTube pushing to promote original programming by its subscribers.
“Jigga” is also co-owner of 40/40 Club in Manhattan, holds a share in the Brooklyn Nets basketball team, has a stake in the Rocawear clothing line and serves as co-brand director for Budweiser Select.
The new channel is being toted as one that will give viewers and fans a glimpse into the interests of Jay-Z. From his choices in fashion, music, culture, style and food, the channel will be a direct extension of the rapper.
Born Shawn Corey Carter, Jay-Z is married American R&B singer Beyoncé. They gave birth to a daughter named Blue Ivy Carter in January 2012.
