Lady Gaga is the latest Vogue cover girl and this time she let her Little Monsters in on the big reveal before magazine editors got the chance.

Taking to Twitter, Gaga linked some photos that will be featured in the September issue of Vogue on her new social networking site littlemosters.com.

“SHH DONT TELL TWITTER/ SEPT ISSUE OF VOGUE MAGAZINE/ Sorry Anna but the underground kids deserve it. bisous! 1ST. PHOTO BY MERT & MARCUS GO TO WWW.VOGUE.COM,” she wrote. The image displayed is Lady Gaga in a glamorous purple gown complete with a blonde weave.

Just in case fans were curious as to getting the look themselves, Gaga filled them in on all the details.

And she later admits which celebrity she was trying to convey.

“Who else sees me channeling @RuPaul on the COVER of VOGUE. If only I was as fierce as you b****. I did try to come for you with that weave,” she Tweeted.

Gaga also poses nude inside the issue with a fancy hat that appears to be bigger than her.

In the Vogue issue, Jonathan Van Meter profiles the pop star and writes that Gaga “manages to be both utterly out of this world and yet, strangely, simultaneously down-to-earth.” Gaga goes on to reveal how the reinvention of the meat dress occurred.

“We were talking about putting the show together and I said, ‘OK, what if I was someone’s grandma and I was going to a concert tonight. How would I know that it was a Gaga show?’ And we all just sort of looked at each other and said,‘The meat dress,’” she said.

Later, she discussed her major purpose on making music.

“I don’t really make records for people to listen to and go, ‘Wow, she’s a genius,’ ” Gaga said. “I’d really like you to order a drink, maybe kiss the person you came with that evening, or rediscover something about your past that makes you feel even more brave.”

The Lady Gaga Vogue issue hits stands August 21.
