Bruno Mars celebrated a recent cover story at a rather unique location: the Playboy Mansion.
The 10th man to be featured on the cover, the magazine hosted the party Tuesday night in Los Angeles. The star-studded affair included a slew of guests from the music world and beyond. Britney Spears, Cameron Diaz, Chris Martin, Estelle, David Arquette, Jeremy Piven, and Johnny Knoxville, among others were spotted.
Bruno performed a slew of covers including Michael Jackson’s “Dirty Diana,” the Police’s “Roxanne,” and Ginuwine’s “My Pony.”
In the article, titled “Bruno Mars Makin The Ladies Sweat,” the 26-year-old musician divulged his dream collaboration, dead or alive.
“Jimi Hendrix. I think he’s the greatest guitar player in the world, and I would want to see him do his thing in person. He’s the reason I picked up a guitar in the first place,” he said.
Having titled his album Doo-Wops & Hooligans, Mars is an obvious fan of doo-wop music.
“I could sing you a thousand and one doo-wop songs. I love the simplicity in that music. It’s not super poetic, it’s just from the heart,” he said.
